Yves Saint Laurent's art collection goes under the hammer

Marking one of the largest private-owner auctions ever held is Yves Saint Laurent's art collection, soon to be sold off at Christie's in Paris.

The late designer's enormous collection is believed to be worth £300 million, and will be auctioned off under his partner, Pierre Bergé's own auction house, Pierre Bergé & Associates.
Pieces by artists including Picasso, Matisse and Goya, will go under the hammer at the request of YSL who asked that half of the proceeds be donated towards the Pierre Bergé Foundation.
