This season, designer Lauren McCalmont solves every dress code dilemma with her new limited-edition ASOS BLACK women’s summer 2012 collection. Crafted at the ASOS in-house design studio, ASOS BLACK offers a capsule collection of premium occasionwear with a luxe, contemporary twist. Focus is on texture, with sculptural shapes, pleat-work embellished dresses, silk cut-work pieces and statement footwear and accessories.
“My signature is multi-layered prints, mixing graphic shapes with handwritten and painted elements,” says McCalmont. “The main focus for the collection was to make each dress individual. The references were ‘70’s graphic design and graffiti.”
