Topman announce Lens designers including newcomer Kaspar Harup-Hansen

Danish designer Kaspar Harup-Hansen is the latest addition to the Topman Lens roster of designers which includes names like Dexter Wong and Carolyn Massey. Topman's Design Director Gordon Richardson says: "I have admired Kaspar's use of Japanese fashion combined with Copenhagen street inspiration. He uses twisted well known classics, with special processing and exquisite detailing." I like the subtle play on silhouette using familiar items like shirts and hoodies.

Store's Matthew Murphy helped Richardson pick the designers for the collection, which will be available from 14th September.

Fellow Dane Lars Stoten and St Martin's graduate John Clarke are Mjolk. Into their second season for Topman Lens they've used bright colours to breathe life into sharp tailoring. Note the pyjama cord detail on the trousers, I don't think there will be any escape from that trend!

Dexter Wong's 'Railway Children' collection combines a soft palette of greys that are irresistible to a grey-hound like me. Inspired by 'industrial revolution work-wear' the shapes belie their historical references without being overly museum-y.

Proving that formal dressing doesn't have to be boring or even traditional Carolyn Massey (pictured above and below) is using archaic menswear detailing like bibs and capes and thrusting them into the present for maximum wearability.

Another Boy is the diffusion line from last year's Material Boy label created by Australian Mic Eaton. It's one of the most casual lines of the Lens collection but the intriguing prints elevate it beyond your mere t-shirt.
