Vogue Portugal March 2011: Melissa Tammerijn by Richard Burbridge

  1. i dont seriously get why they dont go with portuguese models and photographers because obviously their budgets aren't as high as they would like. GQ does a good job and vogue should really follow their footsteps, i mean, no one in portugal would mind if it was their own models in the cover, photographed by a few talented photographers that we have that desperately need a job. Actually i think it could be a win-win situation, models would get their 15 minutes, covers would be much more interesting, photographers would have jobs and people's curiosity i think would be aroused every month while they impatiently await to see what the models they know will look like.

  2. also, almost forgot, they could use our own designer's creations to shoot those covers, we have a few deserving ones. honestly as simple as this initiative may be i believe it would totally benefit all fronts of portuguese fashion and boost their sales without necessarily having to spend lots of money. they lack insight and knowledge sincerely as well as creativity and maybe power of will. What with the typefaces on the covers, they're hideous, color schemes etc the whole magazine comes off as a slack totally rigged up at the last minute.
